The Perth Scorchers have acquired the services of Mitchell Marsh for another Big Bash League as the player became the club’s latest signing for the latest season. The hard hitting all-rounder has been recovering from a shoulder injury and hopes to be back to full fitness before the Scorchers begin their season.

Speaking about the same, Mitchell Marsh expressed his eagerness to step down on the field. The right handed cricketer mentioned that he is slowly inching towards perfection from the injury and his shoulder feels okay now. He stated that the BBL is a tournament of the highest quality and he has thoroughly enjoyed his time being a part of the Perth Scorchers.

What Marsh had to say:

“I literally cannot wait for Big Bash to start,” Marsh said. “My body and shoulder feel really good, I’ve been taking it slowly but ticking all the right boxes so it’ll be good to get back out there.” he added.

“The BBL has grown into an amazing tournament. Playing with the Scorchers for the last six years, we’ve had some awesome success and we’re hoping we can maintain that winning culture this summer, too.” added the Aussie.

Mitchell Marsh claimed that the team has performed brilliantly and have set an electric atmosphere at the home ground for others to come and play. According to Marsh, the Scorchers will be the team to beat this season.

“In the short time that the Scorchers have been around, we’ve really created a tough environment for other teams to come and play at #TheFurnace and that’s largely due to our fans,” he said.

“Twenty thousand screaming Scorchers supporters makes for a daunting environment.” he added. “We are so appreciative of our fans and Members for creating that atmosphere and helping us win three championships.” March concluded.

The first game at #TheFurnace this summer will be against the Melbourne Stars on Boxing Day.
