Mitchell Marsh says India will come all guns blazing in the 2nd Test in Bengaluru

Australia is oozing with confidence following their exceptional win against India in the 1st Test in Pune but all-rounder Mitchell Marsh is of the opinion that the hosts will come all guns blazing at them in the 2nd Test in Bengaluru starting in two days time. Courtesy exceptional spells from left-arm spinner Steve O’Keefe, Australia completed a sensational 333 runs victory which also handed them their 1st win on Indian soil in 13 years.

O’Keefe whose place in the Playing XI was in serious doubts before the match finished with figures of 6/35 in both innings which helped Australia bundle out the hosts for 105 and 107 in both the innings. “This team (India) will certainly come hard at us. We are expecting a great fight and although we are 1-0 up in the series, it’s going to be game on,” Mitchell was quoted as saying by the Deccan Chronicle.

Australia boasts of a very good record at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru where they have won 2 out of 5 matches and has lost just a solitary match. On the other hand, India’s record isn’t that great in Bangalore winning 6 and losing the same number of matches in the 21 outings altogether.

“We will want to continue our winning ways at this ground. And hopefully that would be the case in six days of time,” Mitchell said. Marsh also added that their comprehensive victory in Pune was one of the best he has been involved in his 20 Tests career.

Speaking about their biggest weapon with the ball, Mitchell Starc “He’s one of the best bowlers in the world, if not the best bowler in the world, He’s certainly the best reverse swing bowler in the world,” said Mitchell Marsh.

“In these conditions, whilst all the talk has been about the spinners he’s still our biggest weapon, I think.

“It’s great if he’s in the Indians’ heads, hopefully, he can take a few wickets for us.”

After the first two Tests, both teams will fly to Ranchi and Dharamsala for the last two Tests of the series.
