The Indian Premier League (IPL), initially scheduled to start on March 29 has been pushed forward to April 15. However, it seems it could be pushed further ahead with the fears of the virus spreading and deepening the impact has been raised by many health experts.

With schedules disrupted and players also now observing self-isolation, New Zealand and Mumbai Indians medium-fast bowler took to micro-blogging site Twitter with #AskMitch, fielding questions from his followers. McClenaghan, who recently returned to his home in New Zealand, had been part of Karachi Kings in the PSL. The 33-year-old has been a regular feature of the Mumbai franchise in the IPL.

Chris Lynn is a part of Mumbai Indians squad for IPL 2020

During the Q&A session on Twitter, a person asked McClenaghan to list the craziest teammate he has met in a team. McClenaghan replying tersely tagged Chris Lynn’s twitter account @lynny50. Lynn, who has made a name at the top of the order as an explosive batsman, was taken by the Mumbai Indian in the players’ auction for IPL 2020.

He was part of Kolkata Knight Riders since 2014 and at a base price of Rs 2 crore was bought by Mumbai Indians. Lynn plays for Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League in Australia. Recently, Lynn had smashed a century in 52 deliveries for Lahore Qalandars against Multan Sultans in the PSL and showed why he remains a dangerous batsman at the start of the T20 innings. Lynn has played four ODIs and 18 T20s for Australia.

Both McClenaghan and Lynn are in self-isolation after reaching their respective countries as part of the protocol to stop the spread of coronavirus.
