Mitchell McClenaghan trolls a Kings XI Punjab fan after he tries to take a dig at New Zealand

New Zealand pacer Mitchell McClenaghan hilariously trolled a Kings XI Punjab fan who tried to have some fun at the expense of the Mumbai Indians star. It all started when McClenaghan posted a cheeky tweet while Shivam Dube was taken to cleaners by Tim Seifert and Ross Taylor during the fifth and final T20I between India and New Zealand on Sunday.

In the tenth over of the innings, Seifert and Taylor smashed Dube for 34 runs. The India allrounder now holds the record for bowling the most expensive T20I over by an Indian. Overall, he bowled the second most expensive over in T20Is. England bowler Stuart Broad holds the record for the most expensive T20I over for conceding 36 runs against India in 2007 T20 World Cup when Yuvraj Singh had hit him for six sixes.

Dube conceded four sixes and a couple of fours during the over. Seifert started the over by smashing Dube for two sixes and a four before taking a single. Dube then bowled a no-ball which was dispatched for a four by Taylor. The veteran New Zealand batsman then hit the last two balls for sixes to collect 34 runs off the over.

And as Dube was struggling, Mitchell McClenaghan took to Twitter to post a cheeky dig. The left-arm pacer stated that Dube is struggling in his super over. But the 34-run over did not make much difference for New Zealand as their innings derailed and the fans used the opportunity to hit back at McClenaghan.

As soon as New Zealand started struggling, the user hit back at McClenaghan writing, “blackcaps always struggling.” But McClenaghan had the last laugh in the exchange as he hilariously trolled the fan who is a Kings XI Punjab fan. “I see your a kings XI fan so you feel the blackcaps pain,” wrote the pacer.

India register historic whitewash:

India, meanwhile, went on to win the fifth and final T20I by seven runs to win the series 5-0. Chasing 164, New Zealand were well on course with both Seifert and Taylor smashing fifties. The Black Caps were 116 for 3 and were looking set to register their first win of the series before they found a way to lose the game again.

India’s bowlers led by pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah staged a remarkable comeback to restrict the Black Caps to 156 for 9. With the win, India registered their first-ever whitewash over New Zealand in T20Is.
