Ever since the extraordinary display of cricket from the Indian women’s cricket at the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017, the female cricketers have grabbed a major share of the limelight. But the major part of it was stolen by their leader Mithali Raj, who is now set to feature on the cover of Vogue India, one of the most famous fashion and lifestyle magazines in India.
Not only that, but Mithali is set to share the space along with two super eminent personalities- the ‘king of Bollywood’ Shah Rukh Khan and the founder cum chairperson of Reliance Foundation and the non-executive director of Reliance Industries, Mrs Nita Ambani. To celebrate their 10th anniversary, Vogue released three magazines instead of one.
While the trio of Mithali, Shah Rukh and Nita will glitter in one cover, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Karan Johar and Twinkle Khanna will feature in another. The third cover will see Priyanka Chopra share the space with Padma Lakshmi and Russian model-actress Natalia Vodianova.
Raj expressed his ecstasy by posting the picture of the cover on Instagram, whose caption read “Thrilled to be on Vogue cover with shahrukh khan and neeta ambani for 10th anniversary issue. Thank you @vogueindia for this glamourous moment off the field..?”
