Moeen Ali appreciates Hardik Pandya for his brutal hitting
Hardik Pandya launched an assault on Adam Zampa hitting him for 3 consecutive sixes.
England all-rounder Moeen Ali is highly impressed by the Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya for his brutal hitting in the ongoing ODI against Australia. Moeen is currently enjoying a break before the ODI series against Windies. He was actively involved in the Test series win over England which concluded last week.
Hardik played a breathtaking inning of 83 to bail India out of the trouble in the first ODI against Australia. He came in when his team was struggling at 87/5 and formed a crucial partnership with former captain MS Dhoni. First, he played with patience and rotated the strike. Once he got his eye in, launched an assault on the leggie Adam Zampa and scored 24 runs in his 8th over of the match. He hit 3 consecutive sixes off him and all were straight down the ground.
Moeen Ali’s message for Hardik
Hardik’s knock was so dominating that even the England player was also awestruck and could not stop himself from posting a message on social media website Twitter. He termed the Indian all-rounder as a serious player after he hit Zampa with utter disdain. His message to let his followers know that he is watching the match was, “@hardikpandya7 is a serious player!!”
While Hardik looked set for his maiden century, Zampa scalped him in the next over to make the record straight. His innings has given India a shot at a score in excess of 250 now with MS Dhoni once again controlling the innings at the death for India.

Top order fails
After opting to bat first, India was rocked early by the triple strike of Nathan Coulter Nile and reduced to 11/3. He dismissed Ajinkya Rahane, Virat Kohli and Manish Pandey in space of couple of overs. Kedar Jadhav and Rohit Sharma formed a partnership to stabilise the innings but soon they were sent back Marcus Stoinis and India seemed struggling at 87/5. This is when Hardik and Dhoni came together and rescued India with a century stand.
