Moeen Ali or Adil Rashid will end up being among the players of the tournament says Stuart Broad

The English pacer Stuart Broad ahead of the Champions Trophy has said that the English team are no way dependent on any one particular player to take the side to a win on their own soil. Broad is not amongst the pace bowlers picked by the selectors for the tournament, with the right-arm pacer’s form/health concern for the management.
The pace bowler also believes that the team picked now has the right amount of experience and youth mixed in it. Led by captain Eoin Morgan the team has the big hitters in the likes of Jos Buttler, Jason Roy, Alex Hales and the most valuable player in allrounder Ben Stokes. They will rely on these impact players to come good and make a mark.
In a column for The Mail Broad, wrote, “The great thing about this team is that they are not reliant on one or two individuals to win a game and, even if someone like Jason Roy or Alex Hales fails four or five times on the trot, you know they will come good and produce a brilliant innings at some point.”
Skipper Eoin Morgan’s form
Further, he praised the captaincy of Morgan alongside his batting abilities in the recent times, with the English captain scoring runs at an outstanding pace. The team that he has to pick from is quite a good mix.
“There always seems to be someone who will step up and produce that match-winning inning. Captain Eoin Morgan is in superb form with the bat and that always helps as a skipper. He has a settled team to pick from and quality throughout. He looks very assured as captain now and will rightly go into the tournament with a look of confidence.”
Spin would be the weapon to use
Broad also believes that spinners will play a crucial role in the Champions Trophy, speaking on it he said, “If England does go all the way to win it, which I truly believe they can, I’m fairly sure one of their spinners, Moeen Ali or Adil Rashid, will end up being among the players of the tournament.”
For this edition of the Champions Trophy, Broad believes that the teams could expect the pitch to dry up a bit and help the spinners a bit more than it did four years ago.
