Mohammad Amir replies appropriately after a fan calls Pakistan a ‘terrorist country’
Amir didn't like the tweet by any means.
Mohammad Amir, the Pakistan fast bowler, recently had an excellent stint in the 2019 World Cup. He was the leading wicket-taker for the Men in Green, though the performances couldn’t take his team through to the semis. However, after the mega event, the Gujjar Khan-born speedster decided to spring a massive surprise and hung his boots from Test cricket with immediate effect.
He played 36 Tests and picked up 119 wickets, and his decision to bid goodbye didn’t go down well with a number of former Pakistan cricketers, including Shoaib Akhtar and Wasim Akram. He made his debut back in 2009 and played his final Test versus South Africa earlier this year at the Wanderers in Johannesburg. But he has also been praised for his journey in the longer format.
Amir planning to shift to England
Recently, it has also been learned that Amir has plans to obtain a British passport and permanently settle down in England. The 27-year-old cricketer is currently married to British citizen Nargis Malik and has applied for a spouse visa. It means that he can stay in England for 30 months and it has also been reported that the fast bowler is looking forward to purchasing a home in London.
He will also be able to work and get other advantages of the spouse visa. But he might face some difficulties in obtaining the same as he has previously been in jail in the United Kingdom (UK). The same was after the spot-fixing scandal at the Lord’s Cricket Ground back in 2010. Amir has since then travelled to England on a number of instances and has also plied his trade in county cricket.
In the meantime, Saj Sadiq, a Pakistan journalist, questioned why there’s so much fuss about Amir obtaining a British passport. He said that Amir would still be eligible to play for Pakistan at the highest level. Replying to the tweet, a user wrote, “I think he should leave terrorist country’

The reply didn’t go down well with Amir and he decided to block the user, who posted a screenshot of the same. Previously, Amir liked the same tweet, but for the time being, he gave the user an appropriate reply for hurling allegations at Pakistan.
