Premier Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir is all set to make his debut for Essex in the English County Championships. Amir is likely to play in the fixture against Middlesex in the Specsavers County Championship next week. The team morale has gone up an inch further after the addition of the left arm pace bowler. The Essex team head coach Chris Silverwood affirmed the very same fact when he expressed his happiness over the signing of Mohammad Amir.
“I think everyone has seen in recent weeks what a coup it is bringing him to the Club,” Silverwood quoted. He further added that Amir is one of the most exciting young bowlers in the world cricket at the moment. The match against Middlesex would be a day-night fixture and will be played with a pink ball. The management is expecting a big crowd coming in and hence the stage would be ideal to launch Amir in the Essex outfits.
“He is one of the most exciting bowling talents in the world and we can’t wait to see what he can do in an Essex shirt. It should be a great spectacle on Monday, with the pink ball under lights and I am sure we will be backed by a big crowd,” said the Essex Coach.

Later, he dismissed Shikhar Dhawan as well to break the Indian top order. His efforts were widely appreciated and lauded by the cricket pundits and fans.
