Mohammad Azharuddin hopeful of Yuvraj Singh's comeback to national side
The former India skipper believes that the southpaw can make a comeback into the grand scheme of things.

When one takes the name Yuvraj Singh, adjectives like Strong, Comeback King, Match Winner comes to one’s mind. The left-hander batsman has won numerous games for the country through his all-around skills in the past. Yuvraj played a pivotal role during the twin World Cup win for India. His innings against England and Australia in World T20 2007 made sure India reached the finals. He won the player of the tournament award during India’s victorious campaign in 2011 World Cup.
Fitness, poor form caused him his place
After the World Cup, the left-hander was diagnosed with life-threatening disease Cancer. However, the southpaw didn’t give up hopes even then and made a comeback in the side. Fondly called as Yuvi by the teammates, Yuvraj has been overlooked in the recent past because of his poor form as well as fitness. The left-hander played his last game for India last year in June against West Indies.
Recently, while speaking to the media, the 35-year-old batsman had said that he wishes to play till the 2019 World Cup and wish to represent the country in the World Cup one more time. He had revealed that any plan of retirements will be taken after the tournament.
With IPL approaching, the left-hander said that he is working hard to do well for his new side, Kings XI Punjab. Interestingly, Yuvraj represented the same franchise in the first few editions of the IPL.
Former India skipper and batsman Mohammad Azharuddin who recently met the left-handed Yuvraj Singh at some event said that he is praying to so that the batsman can make a comeback to the national team soon. He took to Twitter where he posted a picture with Yuvraj Singh.

With the World Cup just 1 year away, Yuvraj Singh will have to perform exceptionally well in the upcoming IPL to be considered for the national team selection. Let’s see If the prayers of Azharuddin helps the left-hander in his bid to make yet another comeback.
