Mohammad Hafeez names Tendulkar as his all time favorite Indian player

The cricketers these days leave no stone unturned to be in continuous touch with their fans. The social media serves as the ideal platform where the players often have interactive sessions with the fans. Recently, it was veteran Pakistani all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez who continued the trend with his Question and Answer session on social media site Twitter. Surprisingly, not many questions were cricket centric and were rather general opinion oriented.

Among the questions that had relation to cricket, the one that stood out was about Hafeez’s favorite Indian batsman. One of the fans asked Mohammad Hafeez who his favorite Indian player is. The veteran all-rounder took very little time in quoting Sachin Tendulkar. Tendulkar is often regarded as the best batsman of his generation with a mountain of records to his name. Hafeez called Tendulkar as a legend.

He was also asked about former team Pakistan head coach late Bob Woolmer. Woolmer was incharge of the team that played in the 2007 ICC World Cup and his sad demise after the tournament had sent shockwaves in the cricket world. Hafeez called him to be a very good man and a very good coach too.

When asked to pick his favorite Pakistani players, Hafeez could not contain down to with just one player. He took the names of two of the best Pakistani players to have played in the previous decade. He named former opener Saeed Anwar and former Pakistan skipper Inzamam Ul Haq as his favorite players from Pakistan.

Another interesting question followed which asked Mohammad Hafeez about his close friends in the Pakistani dressing room. The former captain dead batted the question with a very diplomatic answer saying that he is friends to all. A female fan then asked him how does he find her. Certainly the lady with this light hearted question must not have expected a reply. But a witty Hafeez replied back saying he has not seen her yet.
