Pakistan marching along
As far as Pakistan are concerned, they have started their World Cup sojourn on a resounding note. After defeating Virat Kohli’s India, they went past the Black Caps at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Having already beaten two top teams in their group, the Men in Green are almost assured of a berth in the semis barring a miracle.
Their next match is against Afghanistan, led by Mohammad Nabi, on Friday, October 29 in Dubai. Pakistan’s bowlers have been fantastic thus far. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf have fetched Player of the Match awards thus far.
Mohammad Rizwan has scored runs in T20Is at an average of nearly 100 in 2021. Shoaib Malik returned to playing international cricket after a gap of 14 months and he hasn’t shown signs of rustiness either.
