Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif came out in full support of Indian pacer Mohammed Shami on the social media. Recently, Mohammed Shami’s picture with his wife was not happily appreciated by a certain section of people. The picture went viral not for the beauty of it but for unwanted reasons. Many people posted hate comments on the picture on social media platform Facebook. The key concern of the group of people abusing Shami on social media was the way his wife was dressed up.

As seen in the picture, a tuxedo-clad Mohammed Shami posed with his wife Hasin Jahan in an adorable maroon dress. However, the people found it obscene enough to give their advice to Shami. They felt that Shami’s picture was violating the decency of the Islamic religion. More importantly, the low neck dress of his wife did not go down well with a few conservative narrow minds. They suggested Shami to have his wife covered in ‘appropriate’ clothes. The Indian pacer did not say anything about the hate comments and is yet to come with a statement.

However, he has got the backing of former cricketer Mohammad Kaif. Kaif took to micro-blogging site Twitter to express his disgust at the comments. A very disappointed Mohammad Kaif called the comments as ‘shameful’. He further rightly cited that there are bigger issues and problems that the country needs to deal with instead of abusing Shami. Kaif tweeted, “The comments are really really Shameful. Support Mohammed Shami fully. There are much bigger issues in this country. Hope sense prevails.”

It can be only hoped that the people are allowed to live on the terms they aspire to live with. One cannot enforce their thoughts and wills on the lives of others. People would definitely agree to what Mohammad Kaif quoted.
