India’s limited-overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s biopic hit cinema halls around the world this Friday and has been received pretty warmly by his fans. It tells a story, the story of how a boy from the small town saw a dream and then worked hard enough to turn it into reality.
A few people who walked a similar path have been able to relate themselves with the story while many were inspired watching how he scripted one of the most successful careers in Indian cricket. Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif was one of those who loved the movie and picked inspiration from it.
Kaif took to twitter to express his opinion about the movie. He posted an image which talked in detail about one of the incidents mentioned in the movie which was his first interaction with Dhoni.
After watching the biopic and saying that it is an inspiration to youngsters, he also cleared the air about the incident and said “Nahi Bhai, mera galti nahi tha” (It was not my fault). He tweeted with a caption – ‘Saw #MSDhoniTheUntoldStory . His story is an inspiration and the film should inspire youth to catch train of dreams’
Talking about the game and Dhoni’s knock along with his dismissal Kaif wrote, “Saw MS Dhoni -The Untold Story. Dhoni’s story is an inspiration and this movie should inspire the youth to catch the train of their dreams. My first encounter with Dhoni was in the Deodhar Trophy match shown in the film between Central Zone and East Zone. I was leading Central Zone and Dhoni scored a quickfire 84 for East Zone and we lost the match. In the movie though , in his run out in his first ODI , Dhoni’s friend’s said ,Kaif Ka Galti Tha. Nahi Bhai ,mera galti nahi tha. But , phenomenal life story and an inspirational man – Mahendra Singh Dhoni.”
