Mohammed Shami once again trolled on Twitter
Some of the Twitter users abused the Mohammad Shami for posting the picture with his family on Twitter.
Mohammed Shami once again became a target of the Twitterati, after the Indian cricketer uploaded a picture on Twitter. He posted a picture with his family but surely didn’t expect to get such a treatment in return. Shami was a part of the Indian team, which defeated the hosts Sri Lanka 3-0 to white wash them in their own backyard.
Every player in the team contributed to the victory. Opener Shikhar Dhawan was adjudged the man of the series for his prolific run in the island nation, while KL Rahul and the others also chipped in with vital scores. According to the skipper Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya was the find of the Test series, as he proved his all-round ability by scoring a fifty in his debut game and getting to his maiden century in the last Test match of the series.
Shami captioned the picture- “Goodmorning everyone Travel time to India good luck team India upcoming series.” To this, some of the users warned him that the pic might get him a ‘fatwa’ from the religious experts on social media. Most of the Tweets were written in a positive manner but a few of them threw abuses at the pacer. Recently, Indian opener Abhinav Mukund was in the scoop of news, following his tweet on getting abused for a dark skin colour. He spoke on the importance of having a sensible mindset and avoid such discriminations.
He was backed by captain Kohli and spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, with whom Mukund has played a lot of domestic cricket. The Indian cricketers are currently on a break and will take part in the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka later this month. Spinners- Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have been rested while Yuzvendra Chahal and chinaman Kuldeep Yadav have been named replacements. Veteran all-rounder Yuvraj Singh failed to make the cut along with Suresh Raina as the duo failed the fitness test.
