Mohammed Shami opens up about Alishba - the girl who allegedly bribed him
“Alishba is a Pakistani citizen and Shami claimed that she gave him money," Hasin Jahan had quoted.
The personal life of Indian pace bowler Mohammed Shami is in serious turmoil. The allegations imposed against him by his wife, Hasin Jahan, have left his fans shocked, and his family in a complete disarray. Hasin Jahan imposed several allegations against him which has led to many bailable and non-bailable charges being labelled against him by the legal authorities.
Mohammed Shami, however, had some respite by thinking that the entire scene will not hurt his game. However, the episode ended up with his contract being withheld by the BCCI. Furthermore, Hasin Jahan alleged that Shami had relations with a Dubai based woman who apparently offered money to Shami as well. This opened up a new side in the fiasco with match fixing coming in to the picture.
“Alishba is a Pakistani citizen and Shami claimed that she gave him money. I have never been told by Shami for what purpose that money was given. I don’t know but if he can fraud me he can fraud the country too,” Hasin Jahan had quoted.
CoA orders probe in the matter
As soon as the allegations of match fixing came to the fore, the Committee of Administrators (CoA) ordered an enquiry in to the matter. They requested the BCCI’s Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) to investigate the case on the grounds of match fixing. Vinod Rai, the CoA head wrote an email to ACSU head Neeraj Kumar, asking him to submit a report within a week after seeking a thorough investigation as well.
While the reports are yet to be furnished, Mohammed Shami has quashed all such match fixing allegations. He remarked that Alishba, the girl in the frame, is just one of his fans and has got nothing to do in the entire scene.
“Celebrities often have a lot of fans and she (Alishba) is one of them, her name is being falsely dragged into the matter to cook up a controversy,” Shami quoted while speaking to India news.
