After playing the inaugural final of the World Test Championship, the Indian contingent is currently enjoying the break. The players are having some quality time with their families which is evident by the pictures that they are posting on social media. While some players are spending their vacation in England, the Indian speedster Mohammed Shami has visited Scotland to enjoy his time.

Shami has posted a video on his Instagram account to give an update about his travel to his fans. Whilst taking a stroll on the streets of Scotland, Shami has seemed to record the video. The clip has a soothing background to it and it feels that the speedster is having a quality time there.

Before heading to Scotland, Shami was also seen having fun in and around England. He was seen exploring the various new places of the country. A few days back he had also posted a picture wherein he was getting his vaccination dose in the UK. After the break, the Indian players are expected to regroup on July 14 as the Test camps start from July 15. The players will have to undergo Covid tests before they enter the bio-secure bubble.

Mohammed Shami raring to go in the Test series

Heading into the five-match Test series, Mohammed Shami would be a player that India would be banking on. Before leaving for England, the pacer had stated that he is determined to do well and reach the mark of 200 Test wickets. Currently, Shami has 184 wickets from 51 Test matches.

“I should at least cross that milestone (of 200 Test wickets) on this tour because the conditions are good for bowling, I just need to use my skills well. I will be trying my best to cross the 200-wickets mark.” Shami had told Sports Tak before leaving for the England tour.

Shami was pretty good with the ball for India in the finals of the WTC. Though the Indian pacers struggled a bit in the English conditions, he stood out for India. He will be keen to take the momentum further in the Test series and let India start their second cycle of WTC on a winning note.
