Mohammed Shami’s wife Hasin Jahan says the pacer never cared about his daughter
The Shami-Hasin war of words rages on.
Indian star pace bowler Mohammed Shami’s career still remains at crossroads as the Kolkata police continue to investigate into the allegations made by his wife of four years, Hasin Jahan. Mother of Shami’s baby girl, Jahan filed an FIR after which the cricketer was booked under sections 498A (Husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty), 323 (Causing hurt), 307 (Attempt to murder), 376 (Punishment for rape), 506 (Criminal intimidation), 328 (Causing hurt by means of poison, etc., with intent to commit an offence.), 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of IPC.
No liking towards daughter?
The latest twist to the story is another allegation made by Jahan – the one in which she says that Shami never liked his daughter and didn’t fulfill any responsibilities a father should. This allegation came in the wake of Shami’s latest photo with his daughter on Twitter, in which he says he is missing her.
Speaking to media persons on Wednesday, the wife said, “Shami has no feelings for Bebo (their daughter). All the love that you’ve seen in between the father and daughter on social media has been portrayed. It was my effort, I had clicked those pictures of Shami and Bebo to post on social media.”
She further said that ever since being booked on several charges, Shami has not tried to contact his daughter and is now using her as a means to get public sympathy.
“Shami hasn’t tried to get in touch with my daughter (Bebo). When he has no other way to get out, he is now using my daughter as a shield to gain sympathy.”
Meanwhile, Kolkata police have asked the BCCI to help them with details of Shami’s travel schedule, especially his stay in Dubai while returning from South Africa because his wife alleged he spent time with a Pakistani woman in Dubai.
