Jahan wants to share her pain with Bengal CM
Amid the on-going investigation into the matter, the bowler’s wife Hasin Jahan will be meeting Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee on March 23, so that her side of the story is heard by the CM.
“I only appeal that you just keep your eye on my fight for truth, meet me and listen to what I have to say and then judge what needs to be done,” she had told media, and added, “I want to meet you and share my pain with you. This is all I request of you.”
Meanwhile, the Kolkata Police had sought help from the BCCI in the investigation process, asking them to provide with details of Shami’s recent travel schedule, including his brief stay in Dubai where his wife alleged that Shami met a girl and lived with her in a hotel. BCCI, in its reply, confirmed that Shami was in Dubai for two days in February when he was returning to India from South Africa tour. His wife had previously posted screenshots of his personal messages with several women, however, no confirmation of their authenticity is known as yet.
Shami’s immediate future in the Delhi Daredevils Team for IPL 2018 remains unsure. All the teams have already begun their training camps ahead of the tournament which begins on April 7 in Mumbai. The Delhi Daredevils management still has not taken a call over Shami’s participation.
