MoneyBall9 Fantasy guide: CPL 2016, Match 5 – TKR v GAW
Guyana Amazon Warriors too would be looking to build on their initial victory, where they floored the Patriots by 4 wickets and with one ball to spare.
This game promises to be a thrilling one with so many superstars on the show and both these sides will be looking to build on their initial victories so as to rise up from the pack.
Let’s get to business now!
Trinbago Knight Riders vs Guyana Amazon Warriors
Batsmen
The first batsman that I bring in is Hashim Amla. I have time and again stressed on the fact that Amla is a player for all formats, all the conditions, and all pitches. And he brilliantly showed that in the previous game by scoring a marvelous 81. Get him in!
Martin Guptill, the Amazon Warriors leader is my second pick for this category. There is no one as destructive as he is in the powerplay and once he gets in he can completely demolish bowling attacks. You just have to have him in your side.
Darren Bravo has been in a terrific form of late, scoring in the tri-series and getting 60 odd in the first game as well. Also, the fact that he comes in for just Rs 4500 in the Moneyball9 Fantasy game makes him a very valuable pick.
Wicketkeeper
The wicketkeeper was the last player I selected for this game and had only Rs 4500 to do so and thus went for Anthony Bramble. I did not opt for Brendon McCullum as he has looked out of sorts since the IPL. Umar Akmal bats a little too down the order for the amount he is worth and hence I did not opt for him as well
All Rounder
Dwayne Smith is my all rounder for this game. He terrorized the bowlers in the last game and was in fine form in the IPL as well. Also, he opened the bowling for his side, which makes him a great pick for any encounter.
Bowlers
The spin wizards Adam Zampa and Sunil Narine are my first picks for this game. Both these players can spin the ball on any surface and bowl brilliant economical spells as well. Do not go into this game without them.
Flexible Player
In this category, I always try and opt for an all rounder. Kevon Cooper is the best option available at a price of Rs 4500 and hence I go with him. He has been economical and has picked up wickets but hasn’t got to bat much because the top order has fired. But even if he gets to face 10-15 deliveries he can cause a lot of damage. Get him in!
Happy team picking.
