MoneyBall9 Fantasy guide: CPL 2016, Match 7 – TKR v JT
Trinbago Knight Riders and Jamaica Tallawahs, two teams that boast of the most prolific T20 stars on the planet take on each other in the high voltage clash of the CPL 2016. While the Tallawahs have a perfect record going into this game, the Knight Riders have faltered time and again despite almost all of their stars shining until now. But the problem has been that they haven’t really gelled well together and that none of the domestic players have really contributed to the team’s cause until now.The Tallawahs will be looking to build on their initial win by putting up a solid performance tonight and the Knight Riders would be hoping that all their stars could come good together for once and get them out of this slump that they find themselves in.
Let’s get to business now!
Trinbago Knight Riders vs Jamaica Tallawahs- Moneyball9 Fantasy Tips
Batsmen
Hashim Amla and Chris Gayle are the first two players that I get in for this category.
Amla has looked imperious in this tournament, scoring boundaries at will during the powerplay and then toying around with the bowlers in the middle overs. His supreme skill allows him to pace his innings in the way his team desires and that is what his biggest asset is. Get him in!
If Chris Gayle is on the team sheet, it is a sin not to have him in your fantasy side. He looked very comfortable and relaxed in the opening game and when that happens, you know he is striking the ball well. Do not leave him out.
Darren Bravo is my third batsman for this game. With so many big names playing, you need to get in a few players who are worth less than Rs 5000 and can contribute heavily to the fate of the game. Darren Bravo certainly tops that chart. His 60 odd in the first innings showed that he is truly a very important cog in this Knight Riders outfit.
Wicketkeeper
Kumar Sangakkara looked in decent enough touch in the last game, scoring 4 delightful boundaries. He will be batting at number 3 for the Tallawahs, a position that gives him ample time and freedom to play the game as he deems fit.
All Rounder
Andre Russell is my all rounder for this game. He gets the nod ahead of Shakib Al Hasan and Dwayne Bravo as he contributes more with the bat than both these players.
Russell has been the lynchpin of the Kolkata Knight Riders but tonight he’ll be playing against the Shah Rukh Khan owned side and would be itching to prove his worth in the CPL as well.
Bowlers
Sunil Narine is the first player that I get in for this game (in this category). He has been exceptional in all the Knight Riders game till now, picking up 6 wickets in the campaign. His economy has been on the lower side as well. His trickery, control and form are enough to warrant him a place in my side.
Kesrick Williams gave a brilliant performance in the last game, picking up 3 wickets. Also, the fact that he comes in for just Rs 3500 in the Moneyball9 Fantasy game gives a lot of balance to my side. Get him in!
Timroy Allen is the last bowler that I get in for this game. Though he was expensive in the last game, I still get him in as he is the best player that I can bring in for Rs 3500. This being such a star-packed encounter that you need to compromise on at least one player. Hopefully, he can get his radar right tonight.
Flexible Player
For the flexible player, I will go with Timroy Allen of Jamaica Tallawahs.
