Being an arrogant cricketer is not in any way a bad thing as it could be an excellent strategy to get into your opponent's head.

Another one in the list of arrogant cricketers is the skipper of Pakistan Cricket Team, Sarfraz Ahmed. If there is one thing we know about Sarfraz, it’s that he is a talkative figure on the pitch. There has been fitness related criticism which the 32-year old has received, however, he has simply ignored all that criticism. The wicket-keeper has shown glimpses of arrogance in the past, on the field as well as off the field.

The stump mic has picked up Sarfraz Ahmed scolding his teammates and getting involved with opposition players. This has also landed the Pakistani skipper in trouble in the past. In 2019, he made a racist remark on the South African pacer, Andile Phehlukawayo, which got him banned for 4 international games. In another incident, his teammate, Hasan Ali, ignored him while he was trying to talk to the pacer for his remarks.

Sarfraz Ahmed led Pakistan to Champions Trophy victory in 2017 and that is the only major achievement he has to boast about in his captaincy stint. However, when he did not show results through his captaincy, he was asked to step down as a captain. His arrogance did not allow him to step down as a captain and he was then sacked as Test and T20 captain.
