T20 cricket has gained massive popularity over the years all thanks to the uncertainty of the format. Momentum can shift within a span of few deliveries and hence, teams can’t be complacent at any stage. Notably, there were some reservations about this version when it was introduced in the early 2000s. However, perspectives changed with time and T20 emerged as a fan-favourite format.
In fact, T20 matches have been dominating cricket calendars in the past few years. Owing to the same, several national teams even their sets of T20 specialists. In order to tackle the challenges of T20s, variations like slow-ball bouncers, knuckle deliveries, and off-cutters came into the picture. At the same time, yorkers and googlies have also been effective. Notably, several bowlers have showcased their wicket-taking abilities in the T20 World Cup where numbers dashers ply their trade.
