MS Dhoni admits that he misses his long hair
Most Dhoni fans want to see him back in that look.
MS Dhoni has carved a reputation for being one of India’s greatest cricketers to have played the game. He has garnered several records over the course of his illustrious career. He has been stupendous with the willow and hasn’t disappointed with the wicket-keeping gloves either. He forayed into international cricket as a brash character, however, developed himself into a matured personality soon enough.
During his early days, apart from his cricketing abilities, MSD was also known for sporting long golden hair. Even Pervez Musharraf, the former Pakistan President, was in awe with Dhoni’s style statement when India toured Pakistan in 2005 and told him to not change his hairdo. However, Dhoni shredded his hair as his career progressed and never reverted back to the style.
‘Life goes on’- Dhoni
Recently, the Jharkhand-born cricketer featured in a television commercial for Snickers where he was seen sporting his old hairstyle. Quite expectantly, social media went crazy as they loved his look in the long locks. He used a wig for the advertisement which was designed by Sapna Moti Bhavnani who is MS Dhoni’s personal stylist.
Recently, the Indian wicketkeeper-batsman spoke to the media and talked about his old, yet trademark hairdo. Dhoni might have come of age, but the memories of his long hair haven’t faded. “I miss my long hair. Sometimes. But life goes on,” he reminisced.
The veteran has been rested for the ongoing T20 triangular series involving India, Sri Lanka Bangladesh. However, the 36-year old will be leading the Chennai Super Kings franchise in the eleventh season of the Indian Premier League. The cricketer has received a fair amount of flak for his performance in recent times, however, he has answered his critics appropriately. He might be at the twilight of his career, but he hasn’t run out of steam by any stretch of the imagination.
