MS Dhoni and Jasprit Bumrah set to join team India for the T20I series
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) approved the proposed 2-T20I series with the West Indies at the USA. Indian limited overs skipper MS Dhoni and pacer Jasprit Bumrah will join the Indian squad after the ongoing Test series.
Out of current 17-member team featuring in the West Indies for Test series, six players are likely to come back home after the Test matches. Top-order batsmen Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara, wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha, all-rounder Stuart Binny, pacers Shardul Thakur and Umesh Yadav are expected to be those six players.
“As it will be a short tour the Indian team will go with 14 members squad. Dhoni and Bumrah might join the team straight in the USA,” a source in the selection committee was quoted saying.
Duleep Trophy is something everyone is looking forward to as it is going to be played with the pink ball and is the first tournament in India to be played under lights. The BCCI president Anurag Thakur had earlier stated that all contracted players will have to turn up for Duleep Trophy.

But the first game of Duleep Trophy will not feature any international players as Indian team is currently in West Indies for the Test series and will later fly to the USA for the T20I series and the India A, will be in Australia for the quadrangular series.
However, it is learnt that players have already been told that after the two T20I series in the USA, all players will have to be part of Duleep Trophy. With the matches being held at neutral venues, there is a huge concern over the number of audiences for the domestic season.
