MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina indulge in the birthday celebrations of CSK manager Russell in the UAE

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) side has already reached the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). And, the CSK side celebrated the birthday of their manager, Russell Radhakrishnan in the UAE in grand style.

And, two prominent names from the Chennai outfit, skipper MS Dhoni and premier batsman Suresh Raina were seen indulging in the birthday celebrations of Russell.

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) side posted a video of the birthday celebrations on their YouTube channel. The CSK manager is seen telling in the video that it has been special to be a part of the CSK side.

CSK skipper MS Dhoni is seen feeding a piece of cake to Russell, while Suresh Raina showered his love on the CSK manager by applying cake on his forehead. Pacer Deepak Chahar is also seen joining in the celebrations as well. In the end, the CEO of the CSK side, Kasi Vishwanathan is also seen feeding a piece of cake to Russell.

Chennai Super Kings experienced a scintillating run in Phase one of the IPL

The MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) side produced a scintillating performance in the first phase of the Indian Premier League (IPL). At the time of suspension of the tournament, the ‘Yellow Brigade’ was occupying second place in the points table.

The CSK outfit won 5 out of the 7 matches that they played till the time of suspension of the IPL. The Chennai outfit will open their account in Phase two of the IPL with a mega clash against five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians. This encounter will be played on 19th September 2021 in Dubai.

The Chennai Super Kings are three-time IPL champions and have reached the summit clash of the IPL on a staggering 8 occasions as well. They have also qualified for the knockout stages of the tournament 10 times. The only time that the CSK side did not qualify for the knockout stages of the IPL was in the year 2020 when they finished the tournament at 7th place.
