Yuvraj Singh, the former Indian cricketer has been quite vocal over the years. Soon after bidding adieu to international cricket, he took a dig against at the selectors for ignoring him and giving more importance to yo-yo test. Now, he has taken another hot shot against Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni saying that they didn’t support him like Sourav Ganguly.

The 38-year-old emerged as the hero for Team India in 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 World Cup. He was also nominated as the ‘Man of the Tournament’ for his all-round contribution in 2011 mega event. The left-handed Punjab born player made his debut back in 2000 and retired as one of the greatest all-rounders that India has ever produced in its cricketing history. He played 40 Tests, 304 ODIs and 58 T20Is in which he scored 11,778 runs with 148 wickets across all the formats.

He was playing at his best before he was diagnosed cancer. However, Yuvraj fought and returned back to cricket after a span of 18 months. But he lost his shine after recovering from the life-threatening disease. And after last featuring in the India jersey in 2017, he had to retire from the game last year.

I have more playing memories under Sourav, says Yuvraj Singh

Now, in an interview, Yuvraj Singh opened up saying that he never got enough backing from MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli in comparison to what he got under Sourav Ganguly’s captaincy. However, when told to pick the best captain he has played under, the southpaw admitted that it was tough for him to pick between Dhoni and Ganguly. Eventually, he went with the latter stating he had more memories playing under Ganguly.

“I have played under Sourav (Ganguly) and had a lot of support from him. Then Mahi (MS Dhoni) took over. It’s a difficult choice to make between Sourav and Mahi. I have more memories of time under Sourav because of the support he gave me. I didn’t have that kind of support from Mahi and Virat (Kohli),” Yuvraj Singh said as quoted as saying by Sportstar.
