Every avid Indian cricket team fan knows the fact that MS Dhoni is an ardent lover of cars. The former India skipper is the world’s second-richest cricketer and has invested a lot of money in cars. Dhoni never shies away from expressing his love for cars as in his hometown Ranchi, he is often seen spending quality time with his vehicles on the streets. At his residence as well, the World Cup-winning captain is seen driving vehicles during his leisure time.

On the occasion of his 11th wedding anniversary, Dhoni gifted his wife Sakshi a vintage Volkswagen Beetle. In Dhoni’s collection of cars, one can find a variety such as luxury, vintage, and budget. In 2019, he displayed his love for the Indian army as he bought a car that was once part of the Indian army.

Hindustan Motors Ambassador:

MS Dhoni owns a Hindustan Motors Ambassador car, once called the ‘Wheels of India.’ The iconic car ruled the roads of India for 55 years. For the last few years, these cars are hardly seen on Indian streets as Hindustan Motors suspended the production of Ambassador after 2014. However, the dashing cricketer has kept and increased the grandeur of his garage.

Nissan Jonga:

In 2019, Dhoni added Nissan Jonga also known as Nissan 4W73 to his collection of splendid cars. The car was once a part of the Indian armed forces due to its ability to take on the toughest terrains. The jeep is known for its 4-litre engine, which has the potential to produce 110 Brake Horse Power (BHP) @3200 revolutions per metre and 264 Newton-metre @1200 revolutions per metre.

Mahindra Scorpio:

In February 2007, the Mahindra group gifted a customized Scorpio to Dhoni in Worli, Mumbai. For the dynamic wicket-keeper batter, the renowned vehicle brand modified the exterior of the car. Back in 2007, Mahindra’s sport utility vehicle (SUV) was one of the best cars in the country. 

Mitsubishi Pajero SFX:

MS Dhoni also has a famous SFX model of Mitsubishi Pajero Sport in his garage. At the time of launch, the vehicle was quite famous among car enthusiasts. In 2021, Mitsubishi decided to bid adieu to Pajero after selling the off-roader for almost two editions in India.  

Land Rover Freelander 2 & Land Rover 3:

In January 2022, MS Dhoni bought a vintage Land Rover 3 at the Big Boy Toyz auction. Adding the precious and expensive model, Dhoni again showed his fondness for vintage cars. Earlier, he also purchased Land Rover Freelander 2, which is known for giving the best performance on difficult mountain terrains.

Audi Q7:

Audi Q7 is quite famous among famous personalities such as John Abraham, Virat Kohli, and Adi Godrej. Like other renowned names, MS Dhoni is also not untouched as the former Indian skipper has Audi Q7 as well in his elite collection of cars.

Pontiac Fireband Trans Am:

In February 2020, Dhoni purchased a red-shade Pontiac Fireband Trans Am, which is a famous American muscle car from General Motors. From 1969 to 2002, the American automotive manufacturing company sold a lot of models.

Hummer:

Dhoni’s love for SUVs is not hidden from the world as he is often spotted travelling in his Hummer H2 while arriving at airport. Back in 2009, he added an exotic Hummer H2 in his large collection of wheels. The car is known for its massive 6.2-litre V8 petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 393 BHP. Apart from that, its giant structure grabs a lot of attention on the streets.

Mercedes Benz GLE:

Mercedes Benz GLE is another luxurious car that has got placed in the star cricketer’s garage. The car is kept in Maharashtra as the celebrity cricketer uses it whenever he is present in the state. The SUV is a 2.1-litre diesel engine that emits a maximum of 201 BHP and 500 Nm. It is also powered by three-engine options.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk:

It was in 2019 that Dhoni bought the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, which was launched in the United States in 2017. It has a powerful 6.2-litre supercharged V8 Hemi engine that produces up to 707 BHP and 875 Nm.

Ferrari 599 GTO:

In MS Dhoni’s exceptional collection of cars, the Ferrari 599 GTO is one of the most expensive cars. Its price is worth INR 139 lakhs. With its V12 engine, it produces 661 BHP of power and 620 Nm of torque. The car has the capability to touch the speed of 100km/hr in just 3.5 seconds.

Rolls Royce Silver Shadow:

In July 2021, the 2011 World Cup champion bought a stylish Rolls Royce Silver Shadow series-1 car. The royal vehicle is powered by a 6230 cc 6.2 L 410 V8 engine. It also comes with a complicated triple-circuit braking system and a GM-sourced Hydramatic gearbox.
