MS Dhoni inspires me, I idolize him: Sarfraz Ahmed

Speaking in the Open Media Session, Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batsman Sarfraz Ahmed stated that he idolizes Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and wants to be a “finisher” like him.

Sarfraz Ahmed is currently Pakistan’s most trusted man for the role wicketkeeper-batsman. The responsibly of the lower middle order has been entrusted upon him and has done very well.

“Absolutely, Dhoni inspires me. He does it for wicket-keeping and batting both. He is a great keeper. I idolize him. The way he finishes an innings I would like to do the same for Pakistan too,” Ahmed told reporters here.

The 28-year-old wishes to be a versatile batsman in the team and wants to fit wherever possible in the team. He says that his aim is to make valuable contributions to the team. The right-hander, who is known for his swashbuckling batting, also says that he would try and stick to his natural style of play.
