With MS Dhoni returning to his den at Chennai Super Kings, the eleventh edition of Indian Premier League is bound to get exciting. Their talismanic captain might come up with a surprise this time around while donning the yellow jersey. Dhoni’s hairstylist Sapna Moti Bhavnani recently took to social media to ask her followers whether to colour his hair yellow.

Sapna Bhavnani is a sought-after celebrity hair-stylist who has been associated with MS Dhoni since the beginning of his international career. She has often shared pictures and videos with Dhoni and his family and has been the creator of several iconic looks Dhoni has donned over the years.

Even when the Ranchi star sported dyed long locks in his initial days in his career, Sapna was the mind behind the idea.  This time, using the popular poll options on Instagram stories, Sapna asked whether Mahi should colour his hair yellow, which represents Chennai Super Kings.

However, during the Australian series down-under in 2008, MS Dhoni donned the cropped look and had been going strong ever since. Apart from the long locks, he has aced the crew cut look, the Mohawk, the side shaved cuts and the undercuts. He has also gone bald. And there is no look that did not suit him but the return of CSK being celebrated with this surprise would do well to boost their campaign this year.

CSK will have their first encounter against defending champions Mumbai Indians in the opener on April 7 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. This year, the two-time champions will enter the tournament as the most experienced side since the team’s philosophy this year seemed more about investing in tried and tested senior players rather than youngsters.

Squad: MS Dhoni (C & WK), Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Faf du Plessis, Harbhajan Singh, Dwayne Bravo, Shane Watson, Kedar Jhadhav, Ambati Rayudu, Imran Tahir, Karn Sharma, Shardul Thakur, N. Jagadeesan, Mitchell Santner, Deepak Chahar, KM Asif, Kanishk Seth, Lungisani Ngidi, Dhruv Shorey, Murali Vijay, Sam Billings, Mark Wood, Kshitiz Sharma, Monu Kumar, Chaitanya Bishnoi.
