The former Indian captain MS Dhoni is well known for his ‘lightning’ stump works, but apart from that, the world cup winning skipper is also one of the fastest runners between the wicket. Dhoni, who retired from Test cricket after the Australian test series in 2014, is currently out of action as India are playing Sri Lanka in the Test series. He along with his Chennai Super Kings and national teammate Suresh Raina is currently in Bangalore to take part in the fitness test. Apart from the duo, Yuvraj Singh, Kedar Jadhav and Jasprit Bumrah too are sweating it out at the NCA.
A fitting reply to Mahela Jayawardene?
Dhoni passed the fitness test convincingly and later posted a picture on the social media platform. He wrote, “NCA all tests done. 20 mtr in 2.91 sec. Run a 3 done in 8.90 sec. Time for heavy lunch. “Dhoni is 36 and it seems there is still a lot of cricket left in him. A few days back, former Sri Lankan great Mahela Jayawardene took a dig at Dhoni, after the Indian cricketer’s fans had said that MS Dhoni is faster than the world champion Usain Bolt. Jayawardene trolled Dhoni by asking his fans whether MS was riding a bike. The fans had said, “MS Dhoni is faster than Usain Bolt,” to which Jayawardene replied by saying, “Was Dhoni on his bike?”
Respect @usainbolt ???

Is this an indirect reply from MS?
Raina on a comeback trail
Meanwhile, Suresh Raina has been out of the team for a while and it will be interesting to see if he gets a call up for the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka. The Southpaw was left out of India’s squad for the Champions Trophy, which took place earlier this year. Raina posted a picture on his Twitter handle, which shows him with Dhoni. “A well spent day at #NCA! Always so much to learn from @msdhoni and be inspired #NCA #Bangalore #inspiring #motivating,” he tweeted.
