The commencement of T20 World Cup 2020 might be in jeopardy but that hasn’t led to the decrease in the excitement of fans. Ardent cricket fans are still optimistic for the showpiece event to flag off as per schedule. However, there’s no certainty over the feasibility of the tournament as the ICC is yet to announce any details about its feasibility.

Apart from the T20 World Cup, Indian fans are eagerly waiting for MS Dhoni to mark his comeback to the cricket field. The former Indian skipper, who has been out of the sport for almost a year now, was set to return while leading Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2020. Many people including Team India’s head coach Ravi Shastri believed that Dhoni’s performance in the IPL 2020 was crucial in fuelling his international comeback.

However, with the indefinite postponement of the tournament, Dhoni’s comeback to international cricket looks grim at this moment in time. Moreover, KL Rahul’s impressive wicketkeeping skills have plunged more misery on Dhoni’s return. KL Rahul, with his batting as well as glovework, has cemented his place in India’s limited-overs side.

With KL Rahul in contention, many people believe that possibility of Dhoni bouncing back in India’s T20 World Cup squad is minimal. However, die-hard Dhoni fans are still thinking that the veteran has the potential to contribute to India’s T20 World Cup campaign in Australia.

Kamran Akmal also revealed his favourite all-rounder

Pakistan’s Kamran Akmal also voiced his opinion over the same as he backed Dhoni to be India’s wicketkeeper in the showpiece event. The Pakistan international was involved in a Q&A session on Twitter where he answered a plethora of questions. Replying to CricTracker, Kamran said that he would prefer Dhoni to don the gloves in the T20 World Cup in Australia. According to Kamran, Rahul should be the second option.

Along with Dhoni, Kamran also lauded Virat Kohli and Babar Azam when a fan asked him to choose between the two stalwarts. Kamran responded to the question by saying that both are best.

Kamran was also asked to name his favourite all-rounder in the sport. He picked his compatriot Abdul Razzak as his favourite all-rounder along with South African stalwart Jacques Kallis.
