MS Dhoni: The Untold Story going strong at the Box Office

MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, the biopic of Team India’s limited-overs captain MS Dhoni, continued raking in big money at the box office on the second day of its screening.

Bollywood critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh today tweeted the business which MS Dhoni’s biopic did on the second day. Going by his stats, it seems that the biopic will enjoy a record-breaking weekend.

After opening as the second highest grossing movie of the year, the movie continued attracting the crowd in huge numbers and collected 20.60 crores on day two of its business. These are fantastic numbers by all standards.

The movie which released on 4500 screens across India was sold out on day one in pre-booking itself in most of multiplexes and cinema halls. The success of the movie was obviously inevitable and by the end of day one, it emerged that MS Dhoni: The Untold Story had broken the record for the highest opening in the biopic genre.

The movie not only set the cash register ringing but was also well-received from fans and well as critics. The theaters turned into stadiums and people turned out for movie dressed in blue jerseys. They left the halls with a sense of satisfaction after relishing the journey of India’s most successful captain.

The performance of the actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who plays Dhoni in the movie, was hugely appreciated. Many rated this as his best performance so far. But a few also complained that it more details could have been infused in the film about his personal life.
