MS Dhoni's monk look for IPL 2021 commercials triggers meme fest on social media

MS Dhoni’s new bald look has become one of the talks of the town in the last couple of days. As the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 is approaching, a new commercial featuring the former Indian captain has caught the attention of the netizens. It hasn’t taken Twitter users too much to use the image of MS Dhoni in making memes. 

The trend started when the Chennai Super Kings captain was seen with a bald head and dressed up like a monk. The official broadcaster of the tournament, Star Sports revealed their new promo for the tournament, in which Dhoni was seen in his new look. The promo was released on a bunch of social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. 

Every move which Dhoni makes is noted out by the number of fans of the star cricketer. His new look of a monk was seen in one of the commercials which were released by Star Sports. In the video, he can be seen talking to some kids and sharing virtues around greed. The monk Dhoni was heard saying that greed is a great thing for players who are aiming to win more titles.

In another promo, MS Dhoni took up the role of what seems like head of an army camp, where he talks about a ‘Viraat Khiladi’ referring to the Indian captain Virat Kohli. The franchises of both Rohit and Virat will be taking on each other in the opening match, which explains them getting mentioned in the promo. Royal Challengers Bangalore are set to face Mumbai Indians in the opening match on April 9, 2021.

Chennai Super Kings will be opening their campaign in the IPL 2021 against Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. As far as Dhoni’s look is concerned, it can be assumed that the cricketer hasn’t shaved his head. If one looks closely at the promo, they can notice that it is a prosthetic work that has resulted in MS Dhoni really looking like a bald man. But, for now, it seems that Dhoni’s monk look has caught up with the fans on Twitter.
