Former England captain Nasser Hussain came up with an epic response to England Cricket Twitter handle that posted birthday wishes for him a week prior to the correct date. Hussain’s tweet was a response related to the tour for England in West Indies where the bowlers had to toil hard to dismiss the batters. Meanwhile, Hussain funnily noted that his birthday was on March 28.

“Thank you … I know it’s been a long week in Antigua but mum said I was born on the 28th March,” Hussain tweeted in response to England Cricket’s tweet, which has now been deleted.

Hussain played 96 Tests and 88 ODIs for England from the period of 1989 to 2004 and he will definitely go down as the country’s greatest cricketers from his generation for the number of valuable innings he played. Hussain scored more than 8000 international runs across the two formats and is currently working as a commentator in English cricket.

West Indies hold on to a draw on the last day

After five days of enthralling cricket, England and West Indies settled for another draw in the second Test at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. England posted a massive total of 507/9d in their first innings after winning the toss. In reply, West Indies got closer to it by scoring 411 in their first innings.

In the second innings, England set a target of 282 for the home side on the last day. West Indies played 65 overs, scoring 135/5 at stumps on the final day and skipper Kraigg Brathwaite’s unbeaten 56 in 184 deliveries turned out to be a match-saving innings in the end.

The third and final Test of the series starts on the 24th of March with the series currently levelled at 0-0. Both the teams will look for a result out of the deciding game. England are lagging at the bottom of the World Test Championship table and they are desperate for a win.
