Mumbai Indian’s opener Aaron Finch might miss the rest of IPL: Mumbai Indians’ Australian opener Aaron Finch has expressed disappointment over the hamstring injury he sustained while batting against Rajasthan Royals at Ahmedabad last night. Finch was limped off the field in the early overs and did not come out to bat or even to field. He was seen in the dressing room and dug-out with his hamstring heavily strapped.

During the post match presentation, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma too said that Finch’s injury is a worry for his team and he is set to undergo a scan tomorrow (today morning). After undergoing the scan, Finch revealed that he might miss out of the IPL. He tweeted that it looks like he will be out of the IPL due to the injury. He also tweeted that he was shattered about this injury and the scan result, which showed a lot of damage.
Here is what he tweeted few minutes back

So, Mumbai have to find a new opening batsmen to replace Finch. They have a couple of options up their sleeve as West Indian batsman Lendl Simmons and Sydney Thunder batsman Aiden Blizard in the bench. Mumbai could also look to open with Rohit and Parthiv Patel and should look to make their bowling strong by including Mitchell McClenaghan instead of Finch and Ambati Rayudu instead of Pawan Suyal in the squad that played against Royals.

The best playing XI for Mumbai ahead of their clash against Chennai Super Kings is Parthiv Patel, Rohit Sharma, Unmukt Chand, Ambati Rayudu, Corey Anderson, Kieron Pollard, J Suchith, HArbhajan Singh, Vinay Kumar, Lasith Malinga and Mitchell McClenaghan.
