In a beautiful gesture, the MI Twitter page posted a video where old school friends of the cricketer were seen wishing him on his birthday. A glimpse of his school premises, Swami Vivekananda International School was also included in the video. Apart from sending across birthday wishes, Sharma’s childhood friends went on to share some anecdotes with fans watching the video.
One of his friends revealed that in their younger days, Sharma’s coach would tell them to eat healthy and stay away from junk food. However, Sharma was a mischievous youngster and would surreptitiously eat Vada Pav. His friends also jokingly said that the flamboyant batsman can sleep in the smallest possible place, even if it’s a tiny chair! The three men speaking on the video lauded Rohit Sharma for having gained the stature he’s at by working extremely hard.
They expressed expectations from the Mumbai Indians skipper to win the IPL cup for the fourth time this year. On second thoughts, they also made a special request to Sharma.
