Murali Vijay congratulates team India, ends up getting trolled by fans
Murali Vijay did not wish Dinesh Karthik in his tweet.
Team India registered an emphatic win in the finals of the recently concluded Nidahas Trophy 2018. It was a remarkable effort from the Men in Blue. At one stage, they were down and out in the game. Hence, the sweetness of the win is unmatched. The good wishes have been coming for the Indian team. Veteran Indian cricketer Murali Vijay also sent out his good wishes for the team.
Murali Vijay took to micro blogging site Twitter to congratulate the Indian team on the stupendous win. He quoted the win to be a ‘remarkable’ one. Adding further to his good wishes, he noted that the brand of cricket the team played signifies the emotions of the players. He looked totally pleased with the supremacy of the Indian side.
While his tweet congratulated the Indian side, there was no mention of the star of the Indian win. In the match, it was Dinesh Karthik’s unbeaten 29 off 8 deliveries that helped the side win the tournament. Karthik smashed 22 runs in the penultimate over to bring India back in the equation. Also, he hit a last ball six to finish off the game for the Indian team.
The intention of Murali Vijay do not seem to be bad. In his defence, it can be cited that he did not mention any player in his tweet. However, the fans ended up trolling him by referencing to an old feud between him and Dinesh Karthik. There is an awkward angle between the two cricketers from Tamil Nadu. Dinesh Karthik’s ex-wife is the current wife of Murali Vijay.
Hence, the awkwardness between the two only seems justified. However, the fans did cross the line a bit by bringing in the topic here in response to the tweet posted by Indian Test regular.
Here is what Murali Vijay tweeted:
“Remarkable win boys @bcci pretty much typifies the brand of cricket we play #INDVBAN #Champions #TeamIndia #supremacy #NidahasTrophy #NidahasTrophyFinal,” Murali Vijay wrote in his tweet.
Here is how the fans trolled him for the tweet:
