Mustafizur Rahman comes up with a message for Shakib after MI's defeat against SRH
Mumbai Indians lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad by 31 runs in the match.
The Mumbai Indians are going through a terrible phase in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. They have already lost five out of the six matches played thus far and their most recent defeat came against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Chasing a modest total of 118, the Mumbai Indians made a mockery of the run chase to bundle out for just 87. After the game, Mustafizur Rahman, the MI bowler, took to micro blogging site Twitter to express his thoughts.
Interestingly, Mustafizur Rahman had a message to share with a player from the opposition and his national teammate, Shakib Al Hasan. Shakib played for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the same game and performed decently with the ball in hand. Shakib took the big wicket of the MI skipper Rohit Sharma in the match. Also, with the wicket, he reached the personal milestone of scalping 300 T20 wickets.
Currently, Shakib Al Hasan has played 260 T20s, as on April 25, 2018, and has scalped 300 T20 wickets. He has scored 4096 runs to go along with his tally of wickets. When he dismissed Rohit Sharma, he became the first left hande to scalp 300 wickets in the format. In all, he became the fifth bowler in the history of the format to cross the 300-mark.
The other four bowlers in the list are Dwayne Bravo, Lasith Malinga, Sunil Narine, and Shahid Afridi. Mustafizur Rahman, in his tweet, admitted that it was yet another tough defeat for his side but took time to appreciate the efforts of Shakib Al Hasan in the game. He congratulated Shakib on his achievements and wished for his well being.
Here is what Mustafizur Rahman tweeted:
“It was another tough day on the field but feeling great for @Sah75official bhai as he becomes the first ever left arm spinner to take 300 T20 wickets & for reaching in unique feat for scoring 4,000 runs & picking as the second all-rounder. Keep it up. #Blessed,” Mustafizur wrote in his tweet.
