'My doppelganger' - Shubhman Gill's heart-warming birthday post for his sister is trending
Shubman's sister, Shahneel celebrated her birthday on December 16 and the batsman wished her.
India’s young top-order batsman Shubman Gill is warming the bench in the ongoing first pink-ball game of the four-match Border Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia at Adelaide Oval as the management and captain showed faith in their regular opening duo of Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal.
However, the young rookie has definitely made a case for himself as a promising opening batsman for India in whatever chances he got on the Australian tour. Till now, Gill has only featured in the last One Day International of the three-match ODI series, which the visitors lost by 1-2 along with representing India A in two practice games against Australia A.
While his score in the only ODI game he played read 33 runs off 39 deliveries, he registered scores of 0, 29, 43 and 65 across the four innings of two practice games. Thus, there are chances that Shubman might get his maiden Test cap in the rest of the three games against Australia.
