Hayden Walsh, the right arm spinner from West Indies had a great stint in this season of Caribbean Premier League. He played in nine games and grabbed 22 wickets in the T20 Tournament. The national selectors picked him in the T20I series against Team India on the basis of his prolific form with the ball. However, there was confusion between the fans over his father that he cleared in the post-match conference of 2nd T20I.

The right-arm spinner bowled a brilliant spell in Trivandrum and registered brilliant bowling figures of 2/28. He took important wickets of Shreyas Iyer and dangerous Shivam Dube, who had mustered 54 runs of 30 balls. Moreover, he was one of the main reasons for restricting India to a total of 170 runs.
