'My life has come to life' - Rohit Sharma reflects on his feelings after winning T20 World Cup 2024

India skipper Rohit Sharma has been through many ups and downs in the last few years. From losing the World Test Championship Final 2023, and the ODI World Cup Final 2023, Rohit went on to lead team India to their second-ever T20 World Cup title in Barbados in 2024. 

Recently, Rohit took center stage and remarked in Marathi, what winning the World Cup has meant to him. Recently, Rohit attended an event in Rashin, Maharashtra, where he laid the foundation stone for a new sports complex under CricKingdom.

Rohit Sharma, speaking in Marathi, admitted that winning the T20 World Cup has changed his life. "Our big goal was to win the World Cup; after winning the World Cup, my life has come to life," Rohit Sharma said at the event. 

India set to take on Bangladesh in T20I series next

Speaking of team India, the side is currently engaged in a series against Bangladesh. The side recently defeated Bangladesh in a two-game Test series, defeating the side in Chennai and Kanpur. However, after the Test series, the side is now set to take on Bangladesh in a three-game T20I series. 

Both sides will lock horns in Gwalior, Delhi, and Hyderabad on October 6, 9, and 12. The T20 World Cup winners will aim to get off to a good start in the series. On the other hand, Bangladesh came into the Test series against India on the back of a brilliant Test series win against Pakistan in the latter's backyard.

However, despite riding on confidence, the side failed to defeat India in the two-game Test series. The series loss saw Bangladesh slip down the World Test Championship standings, whereas India stayed atop the ranks and are set to make it their third WTC final. Bangladesh will hope to put in a good showing in the upcoming T20 series and topple the world champions.
