'My mom has asked me to find a guy'- KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer gets unique marriage proposal

Kolkata Knight Riders would be looking to get back to winning ways as they face Rajasthan Royals in Match 30 of IPL 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on April 18. At the same time, skipper Shreyas Iyer would also be expected to play a match-winning knock for the Knight Riders.

Ahead of the all-important clash, Iyer has got a marriage proposal from one of his die-hard female fans and the image of the same has gone viral on social media. What really made things interesting is that the fan conveyed this unique message to the middle-order superstar publicly.

A KKR fan was seen holding a placard supposedly outside the Brabourne Stadium that read, “MY MOM HAS ASKED ME TO FIND A GUY SO WILL YOU MARRY ME SHREYAS IYER?” The image was posted by the two-time winners on their official Twitter handle.

Coming back to the contest, Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and elected to bowl first. They have only made one change in their Playing XI by including promising youngster Shivam Mavi and benching Aman Khan. Speaking of skipper Shreyas, the right-handed batter has blown hot and cold in the competition so far. While the KKR skipper even has a half-century under his belt, he’s yet to bring his A-game.

KKR head into this contest on the back of back-to-back defeats against DC and Sunrisers Hyderabad by 44 runs and seven wickets respectively. They would be desperate to snap their win-less streak against a strong Rajasthan Royals, who are on a roll this season. Moreover, the Men in Pink posted a daunting 217/5 while batting first, the highest team score of the season.

Jos Buttler was at his very best as he slammed his second ton of the season. In reply, KKR lost Sunil Narine on the very first ball. However, skipper Shreyas joined forces with Aaron Finch and the duo brought the two-time champions back in the hunt with counter-attacking knocks.
