Virat Kohli, the Indian captain, is someone, who never likes to curb his natural instincts, be in on the cricket pitch or outside the field of play. The 30-year-old remains oblivious of the commotion around him and expresses his opinions and feelings without nurturing any inhibition. He is currently playing the four-match Test series against Australia, which is currently level at 1-1.
The Delhi-born cricketer has been a tad indifferent thus far as he has floundered in three out of the four innings, he has batted in, barring the century he racked up in the first innings of the second Test in Perth. Apart from his shows with the bat in hand, he has also been involved in a few on-field banters, especially with opposition skipper Tim Paine, also a wicketkeeper-batsman.
Shah angers Twitterati
Their altercation went to such an extent that the on-field umpires also had to intervene and make sure that no unwanted scandal mar the encounter. Kohli’s attitude didn’t go down well with the likes of Michael Hussey and Sanjay Manjrekar, who slammed him for the behaviour. Earlier, the experienced campaigner was also a recipient of criticism from Australia coach Justin Langer.
He celebrated in an aggressive manner after Ishant Sharma castled Aaron Finch in the first innings of the opening Test in Adelaide. Recently, Naseeruddin Shah, the 68-year-old Bollywood actor, lashed out at Virat and mentioned that he’s the worst behaved player.
The veteran actor took to his Facebook handle and wrote, “Virat K is not only the worlds best batsman but also the worlds worst behaved player. His cricketing brilliance pales beside his arrogance and bad manners.. And I have no intention of leaving the country by the way,”
However, the comment from the actor didn’t go down well with the users on Twitter and they bashed Shah for the insensitive words on Virat.
Here is how Twitter bashed him
#NaseeruddinShah whether you live in India or get out of India, we don't give a fuck, but just to gain relevance, don't defame our exceptionally relevant & super talented @imVkohli also, how can 3rd class actors like you, understand sporting aggression? RIP Shah, Retire in Peace
