Nasir Hossain mocks Nigel Llong under his nose

The third day of the Chittagong Test match opened up the 2-match series and was highly entertaining one. It also saw a hilarious incident where Bangladesh all-rounder Nasir Hossain mocked the standing umpire Nigel Llong right beside him. The scene occurred after the dismissal of Pat Cummins.

This is not the first occasion when a player mocked the umpire. Suresh Raina once mocked standing umpire Billy Bowden from New Zealand in a match against Pakistan in 2012.

The third day of the Chittagong Test match belonged to the visitors Australia as they take a handy lead of 72 runs in the first innings with another wicket in hand. The day also belonged to David Warner who brought up his 20th Test ton with the help of his 123 off 234 balls, with surprisingly just seven boundaries in his innings.

Peter Handscomb also missed out on his third Test ton after as he ran himself out on 82. However, it was the dismissal of fast bowler Pat Cummins which was the moment of the day as all rounder Nasir Hossain mocked Nigel Llong was in between showing the signal of out and correcting his decision.

Bangladesh opted to take a review straight away after Cummins was adjudged not out before. On watching the replays the third umpire overruled Llong’s decision and Nasir Hossain, playfully, stood beside him and copied the umpire’s signal.

Hossain bowled just six overs in the Bangladeshi innings and gave away 14 runs. Mehedi Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman were the stars amongst the bowlers as they clinched three wickets each. Taijul Islam and Shakib al Hasan also managed to pick up a wicket each. The Tigers would be looking to dismiss the Aussies soon in the morning and knock out the lead, to pose a target sufficient for Australia to bat last on the pitch.
