The stage is almost set for the two gigantic sides to lock horns in the much-awaited series of the year. The tourists, being the Indian side begin their tour of Australia with a T20 International on Wednesday at Brisbane before moving on to Melbourne and Sydney to play the next two.

Virat Kohli is one player who will be the center of attraction. His last two full tours of Australia were memorable and prolific. The Indian skipper would like to leave his mark yet again when he marches with his troops down under. He is the fulcrum of this high voltage series.

Meanwhile Australian quick bowler Nathan Coulter-Nile feels that apart from Kohli, vice-captain Rohit Sharma is another player who can cause a lot of headache for the hosts. Rohit, in limited-overs cricket, has been unstoppable of late. So far in 19 ODIs, India’s limited-overs vice-captain has amassed 1030 runs at an average of 73.57.

His record in Australia is also imposing, mustering 1143 runs in ODIs at an average of nearly 52. In six T20Is in the Australian soil, the 31-year old has scored 151 runs. However, Coulter-Nile has a plan in place for Rohit.

Coulter-Nile reveals that he has a plan in place for the juggernaut

“He’s an unbelievable player. His record speaks for itself. He has got a record all around the world. But we’ve also had a bit of success against him with the new ball as well. I think ‘Dorff’ (Jason Behrendorff) got him out the last time we played him and rapped him on the pads so we’ll look to do that again,” he said while talking to the reporters at the Gabba.

NCN knows how to get the better of Rohit and has chalked it out. “Trap him in front of the stumps with a sharp inswinger or test him with a short ball,” he added.

Behrendorff, the left-arm quick dismissed India’s aces Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, the last time both teams played a T20 international at Guwahati. Coulter-Nile talking about Behrendorff said, “Everyone knows he’s a fantastic option up front. He’ll swing it here and it’s beautiful conditions for it today, hopefully, the same sort of conditions on Wednesday, it’ll swing early. Hopefully, we’ll hold on to our chances because definitely he’ll create a few.”
