New Zealand pace bowler Neil Wagner has been signed by team Essex for their final three matches of the County Championship season this year. Wagner is a prolific pace bowler renowned for making the ball do the talking both ways. He was with the Essex team at the beginning of the season. Reportedly, he will be rejoining the team as the replacement of Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Amir.
Amir has had a decent time during his maiden stint in the County Championship this year. He has been a key member of the Essex side thus far. Earlier in the season, when Amir was unavailable for the English domestic tournament due to his commitments for the national side in Champions Trophy, the slot for the overseas players was filled by Neil Wagner.
Once Amir joined the Essex roster, Wagner headed back to New Zealand. Now, with Mohammad Amir being called back for his international assignments, the team management at Essex have decided to bring back Wagner to the side. As per the recent reports in Cricbuzz, the team wanted Neil Wagner to be available for the match against Lancashire.
However, his participation did not get a green signal due to a slight hamstring problem. Wagner is now being expected to field for the Essex team in their encounter against Warwickshire at Edgbaston. The match starts on September 12. Wagner will be a part of the team for the final three matches of the season.

They are currently playing Somerset in one of the fixtures.
