New Zealand Cricket Awards 2020-21 – Who Won What

As New Zealand announced its Cricket Awards for the 2020-21 season, Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson bagged the Sir Richard Hadlee Medal for the fourth time in the last six years. On the other hand, Amelia Kerr and Devon Conway bagged two awards for the season. It was Williamson’s great home summer that led him to have the ultimate glory along with being the international Test player of the year.

In bowling-friendly situations, Kane Williamson flaunted his class against the West Indies team as he smashed his top international score of 251 runs on the Boxing Day Test. He then smashed a Boxing Day Test ton at the home ground of Bay Oval in Tauranga before adding another double ton in his records.

This double century came against Pakistan in Christchurch which led New Zealand to book one of the final spots in the ICC World Test Championship. Kerr’s all-round abilities led her to win the double honours, namely Super Smash and the international T20 women award.
