Team India has been thoroughly dominating New Zealand in their own backyard. After playing some terrific cricket in the last few months, the Kiwis have hardly been able to resist the assault from the Indians. They already trail the five-match ODI series 0-2 with three games to go. While the hosts lost the first ODI by 8 wickets, they faced bigger embarrassment in the second where they were overhauled by 90 runs.
Looking at this, the New Zealand police took a hilarious jibe at Team India for the dominance they’ve been exhibiting. At the same time, the police department also took a dig at the home team through their Facebook post. Warnings were issued to the public about a dangerous group that was touring the country.
Furthermore, the post also claimed that this group assaulted innocent looking New Zealanders in both Napier and Mt Maunganui. The post also mentioned that the public should be extra careful if they were carrying something that looked like a cricket bat or a ball.
Here is the post from the Eastern District Police
“Police would like to issue a warning to members of the public about the exploits of a group touring the country at the moment. Witnesses report seeing this group badly assault an innocent looking bunch of New Zealanders in both Napier and Mt Maunganui in the last week. Extra care should be taken if you are carrying anything that looks like a cricket bat or ball,” wrote The Eastern District Police on Facebook.
