Team New Zealand are on their way to Hague for their two-match T20I series against the Netherlands, commencing on the 4th of August, Thursday. The Kiwis head into the series on the back of clean sweeps against Ireland and Scotland in the ODIs and T20Is, and will look to continue their form in white-ball cricket after suffering a harrowing defeat against England in the three-match Test series in June.
The Blackcaps will head to the Caribbean to play three ODIs and three T20Is following the series against the Netherlands. The Netherlands, on the other hand, haven’t done too well lately, having suffered a clean sweep in their last bilateral series (ODI) against England. The hosts, however, managed to secure a spot in this year’s T20 World Cup by making it to the final of the World T20 Qualifier, where they lost to Zimbabwe.
Scoot Edward’s men will hope to give a better account of themselves against the Kiwis with the T20 WC on the horizon. Earlier this year, both sides had squared up for an ODI series hosted by New Zealand, which the hosts won on the back of three consecutive victories after the one-off T20I was washed out due to persistent rain in Napier.
